Tibetan Telephone Directory

HOW TO USE THIS DIRECTORY

This directory is arranged area-wise: places with different "Area Codes" are put separately while nearby areas with the same "Area Codes" are put together. They are then sequenced in alphabetical order. (See the contents)

International Calls: To make an international call to India, replace the plus sign before the country code with two zeros or any other combination of digits required by the country where you are. The "Country Code" must be followed by the "Area Code" and the phone number.

Skip the "Local Code" if it features under the area that you are calling. Within India: For a long distance call within India, skip the country code and add a zero before the area code. "Local Code" not reqiured in this case also.

Local Codes: The areas with "Local Codes" suggest that they can be reached from Dharamsala and vice versa just by dialling the area codes and phone numbers. No STD calls, and thus no area codes, are required in such cases.

This Edition: We hope this edition will prove useful to all. We have taken all care to ensure that there are no errors in this.
