Tenzin Gönpo

Tenzin Gönpo was born in Lhodrak, TIBET in 1955.

He was twelve years old, when he entered the T.I.P.A. in Dharamsala, INDIA where he has been working and evolving ever since.

For over twenty years Tenzin GÖNPO studied and taught a wide range of popular songs and traditional dances as well as tantric and acrobatic dances at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Dharamsala.

Working inside the T.I.P.A. as a professional artist, he obtained in 1978 the status of instructor and from then on he has been teaching all aspects of Tibetan Traditional Arts to students and professional artists of the Institute as well as to western students in India.

He now lives in France.
