On June 12, 1998 the Planning Council has conducted the first Tibetan Demographic Survey (TDS) for the exile Tibetan population living in India and Nepal. The TDS '98 is not just about numbers, it also covers socio-economic aspects of Tibetan communities with detailed regional and settlement level tabulations. The office of the Planning Council is happy to announce the release of publication consisted of 2 Volumes of Demographic data Tables of 1491 pages and a brief report covering the concept, methodology and summary of the survey.
